Federal Employees

Moosbrugger Law proudly represents federal employees nationwide before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, and the Office of Special Counsel.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)

We specialize in representing federal employees before the EEOC. We assist employees during EEO Counseling, filing of the formal EEO Complaint, the EEO Investigation, EEOC Hearings, and EEOC appeals. It is ideal to hire an attorney early on in the EEO process, however, if you already have a hearing scheduled we still may be able to help.

Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB)

The U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) is a forum in which federal employees can appeal an adverse personnel action, such as a removal, reduction in grade, suspension, whistleblower reprisal, or other adverse personnel action. The MSPB generally acts after a final decision has been rendered by an agency. Moosbrugger Law can file your initial appeal to the MSPB, resolve your complaint through settlement, reach an ultimate determination at the MSPB, appeal unfavorable decisions, and manage alternative dispute resolutions such as mediation or arbitration.

Office of Special Counsel (OSC)

As a federal employee, you may need to disclose wrongful conduct of your employer, the federal government. “Wrongful” conduct usually involves fraud, waste, or abuse. After making these disclosures, you may be retaliated against. Federal employee complaints of whistleblower reprisal may be filed with the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) or, if the claim involves a suspension of 15 days or more, demotion, or removal, directly with the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). If you choose to file a complaint with the OSC or the MSPB, Moosbrugger Law can represent you during every step of the whistleblower reprisal complaint process. We will determine the precise nature of the retaliatory conduct, and file your claims. Then, we will fight to obtain the appropriate relief for you. Relief can include, job restoration, back pay and benefits, attorney fees, and other compensatory damages.
